iLCS is developed by Wi4B S.r.l., the engineering company behind its electronics, embedded firmware, wireless stack, traffic-sensing radar and adaptive algorithms.
Keeping the core technology in-house means we can do more than configure a product. We can change it. New requirements, integrations and project-specific functions can become part of the platform itself.
Our technology is deployed across three continents through a network of industrial partners that manufacture and commercialise iLCS solutions under licence. This model combines a technology developed and controlled by Wi4B with local manufacturing capabilities, market knowledge and on-the-ground support.
In South-East Asia, together with Success Electronics & Transformer, our long-standing Malaysian industrial partner, we established iLCS Technologies Sdn Bhd, a joint venture dedicated to manufacturing, developing and growing iLCS across the region.
In Germany, our long-standing partnership with energiedata 4.0 (ED40) combines local distribution and project expertise with Wi4B’s hardware, software and systems engineering. Together, we have delivered more than 40 smart infrastructure projects, bringing connected control and monitoring to cities and industries.

Wi4B was founded by researchers with decades of experience in wireless communications at the University of Bologna and CNIT WiLab. That research background remains part of how we work today: the technology is engineered in-house, while our connection with the academic community continues through scientific collaboration.
We also publish the results. Data from real-world installations, together with the measurement methodology and reference baselines, are constantly published, making both the results and the method openly available for independent evaluation.
For us, performance claims should be measurable, transparent and reproducible. Not just percentages in a brochure.
